Number 28 From "52 Days, 63 Poems"

Close your eyes and
Soak the warmth
Into every pore
Flows the summer sun
Your temperature rises
Out of every pore
Flows the summer sweat
Sweet bliss
Where are you now?
Cushioned on a million
Nestling grains
Enveloped
In the darkness
Deep magenta
Not quite black
Butterflies and
Psychedelic kaleidoscopes
All around you
Is the whispering
Conspiracy of white noise
Now dragging
Now pushing
Now urging
Now rushing you
To forget everything
Except
Now
Here
This
Moment
This moment
You are everywhere
This instance
Is forever
Soak the warmth
Into every pore
Flows the summer sun
Your temperature rises
Out of every pore
Flows the summer sweat
Sweet bliss
Where are you now?
Cushioned on a million
Nestling grains
Enveloped
In the darkness
Deep magenta
Not quite black
Butterflies and
Psychedelic kaleidoscopes
All around you
Is the whispering
Conspiracy of white noise
Now dragging
Now pushing
Now urging
Now rushing you
To forget everything
Except
Now
Here
This
Moment
This moment
You are everywhere
This instance
Is forever
